CELTICS ONE AWAY FROM 17!

I pretty much woke up the entire neighborhood tonight as the Celtics beat the Lakers to take a 3-1 lead in the NBA finals. Being a longtime Celtics fan, even when it was Jiri Welsch, Kenny Anderson, Gerald Green (out of the league already?) and tons of other no name players - role players - starting every night... this was unbelievable.

The Celtics staged a comeback most thought was impossible tonight.. but I'm not writing because of that. I'm writing to give people that I criticize (I am a certified basketball ref) on a nightly basis credit. THEY STAYED OUT AND DID NOT IMPACT THE FINAL OUTCOME OF THE GAME. They didn't fall for Kobe Bryant's acting jobs..he should be an actor after he retires from basketball, and they called a fair game down the stretch. I was impressed by the officials tonight, as they let a comeback happen that most of us if asked thought they would have stopped with calls against the Celtics when nothing was happening.

Additionally to that, EDDIE HOUSE AND JAMES POSEY CAME TO PLAY. I've been calling for EHouse to play for most of the playoffs. Most other players wouldn't bring their A game in a situation like this.. but Eddie did. Clutch shots and excellent passing for Rondo tonight.. EHouse came up big! Ray Allen played all 48 minutes tonight, and has been very consistent throughout the finals playing well. ROLE PLAYERS WON THIS GAME FOR THE CELTICS. A deep bench wins games, and that was evident tonight.

Let's Go Celtics... bring home #17 from LA baby! Beat LA baby... and make sure you listen to the show tomorrow night on i98.3.
